Screen Protector, Its Purpose And How To Install Them
A Screen Protector is a slim film that is placed over an LCD screen. The protector gives a shield from a lot of things that could prove damaging or detrimental to the delicate screens. They are available for virtually any electronic gadget that utilizes an LCD screen, including anything from televisions to digital cameras to mobile phones.
A screen protector is generally created from a polyurethane film which is clear and heavy duty. The film was originally made for United States military applications and was then adapted for consumer use. As the public rise in popularity of the fragile LCD screen has grown, so have the damage claims on everyday technological devices. These problems can cost individual consumers hundreds to thousands of dollars. The screen protector efforts to lower the chance of consumer harm.
The primary reason for a screen protector is generally to avoid scrapes and cracking. Screens are generally made of plasma or other conductive plastic. They are coated in durable plastic but are built to be sensitive enough to respond to finger touches. This level of sensitivity means they are prone to scratching from keys and other sharp things as well as cracking if dropped or improperly taken care of.
Most screen protectors are thick films that adhere directly to the face of the device. They are generally all but invisible once applied. Film screens are created to deflect and absorb scratches and impacts while still allowing finger touch commands, and they are usually fingerprint resistant, which makes cleaning easier. Films must typically get replaced every year or so, depending on how seriously the unit is used. Some screen guards are less flexible when you have air bubbles on them. You can actually take those screen guards off, wash them with water and soap, and reattach them the same way like the first time.
How will you install a screen protector? In general, a screen guard has 3 tiers to it. Tab #1 and #2 have a thin transparent plastic-type piece (the same size as your screen protector) joined to them. Suppose of it as a screen protector for your screen protector. They are lower than 1mm thin while the actual screen protector is 1mm- 1.5mm in thickness. Clean your phone utterly off from debris and dust with the cloth provided. A micro fiber cloth is best suited in this situation. Any sort of dust and debris on the screen would create air bubbles on your screen protection. Peel off tab marked # 1, align the screen protector with your cell phone as perfect as possible. Apply Touch Screen Protector to your phone gently, working from one side to the other in a sweeping motion. Using a credit card or a cardboard would help you sweep the air bubbles out. Do not work from center to outside, but apply one end first then sweep it slowly until all air bubbles are out. Peel off tab marked #2, and you are all set. Do not peel off the actual screen protector itself or just the tab itself.
